411 Microsphere
411 Filleting Blend is a mixture of silicate microspheres and colloidal silica used as a general purpose LOW DENSITY FILLER. It mixes easily with either epoxy or polyester resins to create a thickening agent allowing the user to create fillets that are smooth and require little sanding. Its color is a OFF WHITE. It can be used in a variety of applications and industries and has excellent sanding qualities.
In the surfboard manufacturing industry 411 is mixed with epoxy resin to form a white paste that is spread evenly over an EPS Blank. This process seals the foam, ensuring an even surface and prevents any out-gassing that may occur during laminating.
